What a Credible Messenger is
A Credible Messenger is a mentor with lived experience. Often, they’ve been through the justice system themselves. They won’t judge you, because they’ve been where you are.
It starts inside
Our Credible Messenger mentoring starts before release day. Every Thursday, we’re inside mentoring men who are getting ready to come home, so the relationship is already there when they walk out.
How it works with your case manager
Your case manager builds your plan and connects you to housing, training, jobs, and health care. Your Credible Messenger helps you live that plan day to day. You don’t have to figure this out alone.
